Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav came face-to-face at Patna Airport, but there was no conversation or greeting. Their political distance remained clear. This encounter highlights the ongoing rift and electoral differences within the Lalu family.
Bihar News: Just before the first phase of polling for the Bihar Assembly elections, both prominent members of the Lalu family, Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, came face-to-face at Patna Airport. Although the encounter at the airport seemed ordinary, there was no conversation or greeting between them, further clarifying their political distance. Tej Pratap Yadav, who is now the head of his new party, Janashakti Janata Dal, had arrived at the airport to board a helicopter for his election campaign.
Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav, the Grand Alliance's Chief Ministerial candidate, was present at the airport at the same time. The distance between them was only a few meters, but neither made an attempt to look at or speak to the other. Tej Pratap Yadav had gone to the airport's duty-free area to buy a black jacket, while Tejashwi Yadav was accompanied by his VIP leader Mukesh Sahani.

Rift in the Lalu Family
The political tug-of-war between Tej Pratap and Tejashwi is not new. Political bitterness between the two had emerged after Tejashwi campaigned against Tej Pratap in the Mahua assembly constituency. This encounter has now become a new chapter in that sourness. Leaders from the RJD camp are dismissing it as merely a coincidence.
The Brothers' Status in the Electoral Atmosphere
In this election season, Tejashwi Yadav is busy campaigning across the state as the main face of the Grand Alliance, striving to garner public support. On the other hand, Tej Pratap Yadav is in the electoral fray with his limited but distinct public base.
