Coal India Limited has announced recruitment for 660 Management Trainee posts. Eligible candidates will be able to apply online through the official website, coalindia.in, from May 12, 2026.
The recruitment drive will fill vacancies for Management Trainee positions across multiple streams, including Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Systems, Electronics and Communication, Geology, Industrial Engineering, Rajbhasha and Company Secretary. Out of the total 660 vacancies, 221 posts have been allocated to the Electrical stream and 178 posts to the Civil stream.
Candidates applying for the recruitment must possess degrees such as B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc (Engg.), MCA, M.Sc, M.Tech or CS in the relevant discipline. The maximum age limit has been fixed at 30 years. Age will be calculated as on April 30, 2026. Reserved category candidates will be eligible for age relaxation as per government rules.
To apply, candidates will have to visit the official website of Coal India Limited at coalindia.in and complete the online registration process through the recruitment link. After registration, candidates can fill out the application form, upload the required documents and pay the prescribed application fee.
Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,180. Candidates from SC, ST and PH categories have been exempted from payment of the application fee.
The selection process will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT). The examination will consist of two papers, and candidates will be given a total duration of three hours to complete the test. Each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking in the examination.
