The Congress party has raised serious questions about the Election Commission, alleging irregularities and the use of fraudulent voters in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The party has demanded the immediate public release of the Varanasi voter list and the cancellation of the election, emphasizing the need to ensure transparency.
New Delhi: The Congress has leveled serious allegations against the Election Commission regarding the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and has demanded the cancellation of the election. The party alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP rigged the election process and used fraudulent voter lists in several places. Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said that the Election Commission should provide data to the opposition and the public with transparency. Along with this, he demanded the immediate availability of the Varanasi voter list.
Allegations of Election Irregularities
The Congress says that the Election Commission ignored irregularities in several Lok Sabha constituencies. Pawan Khera alleged that many voters have the same name, but their faces are registered in different locations. He said that the press conference organized by Rahul Gandhi on August 7 revealed serious election irregularities, after which the nervousness of the ruling party was clearly visible.
Questioning the role of the Election Commission, Pawan Khera said that six more fraudulent voters were identified in a press conference organized by Anurag Thakur. Despite this, the Election Commission took no action. Pawan Khera said, "When the opposition holds a press conference, a notice is sent immediately, but why is there a delay in BJP leaders receiving a notice in this matter? The Election Commission must answer this."
Demand for Varanasi Voter List
The Congress has appealed to the Election Commission to immediately provide the Varanasi voter list to the Congress. Pawan Khera said that the opposition is not being given data, while the BJP is getting it easily. He also said that Priyanka Gandhi won the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat by approximately 493,000 votes. If there were no fraudulent votes there, the margin of victory would have been even clearer. Therefore, the Congress is bly demanding that the Election Commission show complete transparency and make all data public.
Pawan Khera said, "The Prime Minister has won by only one lakh votes. If there was no rigging in the election, the figures would have been clearer. The Election Commission should ensure that there is no bias."
Attack on BJP and Election Commission
The Congress has continuously put pressure on the BJP and the Election Commission regarding allegations of vote theft and irregularities in the voter list. Rahul Gandhi also targeted the Election Commission through social media and said that incidents of voting in the name of the deceased have come to light. He said that the BJP has been continuously winning elections due to similar irregularities.
Pawan Khera said that the Election Commission should be impartial and take action in cases of fraudulent voters, irregularities, and misuse of names. He alleged that the Election Commission hiding data and giving priority to the BJP is clear bias.
Demand to Cancel the Election
The Congress has directly demanded the cancellation of the 2024 Lok Sabha election. Pawan Khera said, "When so many irregularities are coming to the fore, we have to raise the question of whether this election can be conducted in a fair manner or not. If there is no transparency in the election, then it is appropriate to cancel it."
The Congress says that their goal is not only to cancel the election but also to ensure faith in democracy and transparency in the electoral process. The party will continue to put pressure on the Election Commission and the BJP and will continue to demand that all data be disclosed to the public.
