According to the victim, three women and one man arrived at her house claiming to be connected to a previous financial transaction. The accused stated that Rs 5,000 was outstanding against the victim’s mother-in-law and demanded payment. When the woman informed them that her mother-in-law was not at home and had gone to attend a wedding ceremony, an argument followed, with the accused insisting they would not leave without the money.
As the woman opened the gate, the accused allegedly launched an attack. The assailants sprayed a substance into her eyes, rendering her unable to see, and one of them held a knife to her neck. She was assaulted and dragged inside the house.
