Intelligence agencies are intensifying their investigation into the potential links between Jaish and PFI in the Delhi blast case. Following concerns about active sleeper cells in West UP and NCR, agencies are thoroughly scrutinizing networks, funding, and old dossiers.
Delhi Blast Case: Security and intelligence agencies are conducting an in-depth investigation into the potential links between Jaish-e-Mohammed and PFI in the Delhi blast case. The apprehension of active sleeper cells in various areas from Western Uttar Pradesh to the NCR has heightened agencies' concerns. The scope of the investigation is continuously being expanded to clearly uncover information regarding the networks, operating systems, and support received by these modules from terrorist organizations.
Security Agencies Monitor Sudden Increase in Jaish's Activity
The sudden surge in Jaish-e-Mohammed's activity across the country has drawn the attention of intelligence agencies. Preliminary investigations suggest that Jaish's increased activity is not entirely isolated. Agencies are probing whether the banned organization PFI is providing any form of support to Jaish. Consequently, the investigation into potential links between PFI and Jaish has been accelerated.
Sources indicate that PFI members have withdrawn from official activities following the ban but are operating covertly akin to sleeper cells. PFI's role in the recent terrorist incident in Delhi is also being investigated as a priority.
Apprehension of Sleeper Cell Activity in NCR and West UP
According to initial reports from intelligence agencies, PFI's sleeper modules are active in several districts of Western Uttar Pradesh and the NCR. Previously, PFI members have been apprehended in terror-related cases and anti-national activities. Based on this history, agencies are broadening the scope of the current investigation.
PFI Members Go Underground After Ban
Following the ban on PFI, several of its active members went underground. Now, intelligence agencies, along with other security agencies, are engaged in monitoring these individuals. It has been clearly observed in the terrorist networks being uncovered from Haryana to Delhi and across the country that many activities were being operated on a sleeper cell model.

PFI's initial target was reportedly Kerala in its early days, but the organization later rapidly spread into Western Uttar Pradesh, where it established a b network. Here, its network was involved in conversions, brainwashing youth, 'love jihad', and other anti-national activities. In Western UP, PFI was commanded by its in-charge, Parvez.
Intelligence Agencies Scrutinize Old Dossiers
Following suspicions of potential links between PFI and Jaish, agencies are sifting through old dossiers, statements of arrested accused, their activities, and files of individuals involved in the network. Agencies have received information that funding to the organization does not cease even after the ban. Indications of secret funding reaching PFI from Kerala and several districts in South India have been found. Smaller Muslim organizations are also playing a role in its funding.
PFI Inciting Youth Against PM Modi and CM Yogi
Investigations have revealed that PFI is inciting Muslim youth against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Its objective is reportedly to weaken the country's integrity.
Previously apprehended PFI members had admitted during interrogation that PFI's major conspiracies could not succeed in the b presence of RSS, PM Modi, and CM Yogi. For this reason, the organization might have devised a strategy to even collaborate with terrorist organizations in an attempt to defame them or create an unstable environment. Based on this, agencies are investigating Jaish's activities by linking them to PFI.
Kalchhina Village in Western UP Becomes PFI's Main Center
Kalchhina village in Modinagar is considered a major center for PFI in Western Uttar Pradesh. PFI's regional in-charge, Parvez, resides here, and information has emerged that there are over 50 active members of the organization in the village. Several security agencies have conducted raids here but have consistently failed due to local resistance and members changing their locations.
PFI Also Active in CAA and NRC Protests
PFI's significant role emerged in the protests against CAA and NRC in 2019. PFI's name prominently surfaced in several disturbances across the state. An FIR was also lodged against Parvez in connection with the unrest in Muradnagar.
Agencies are now re-investigating the activities of those individuals whose names came to light during that period. FIRs were registered against several people, and a large number were bound over on bail bonds. The list of all these individuals is being re-examined to confirm any potential connections.
