Delhi Book Fair 2025: The 29th Delhi Book Fair is particularly special this year. Held at Bharat Mandapam in Halls 12 and 12A, the theme of this event is "Books and Publications: The Future of Multilingual India." The fair was inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. In her inaugural address, she emphasized the importance of books in the digital age, stating that e-gadgets can never replace books.

Rekha Gupta, who has previously served as the President of the Delhi University Students' Union, mentioned that she has been reading the works of great writers like Premchand since her student life. This year's Delhi Book Fair is not just a book fair but has also become a symbol of patriotism and linguistic unity. In light of Independence Day, the "Har Ghar Tiranga" (Tricolour in Every Home) campaign has also been showcased at the fair. More Than 100 Publishers Participate
More than 100 publishers are participating in this book fair. Jointly organized by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) and the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP), this fair has a vast collection of books in different languages.
Focus Solely on Publishers
According to FIP officials, in previous years, there was a complaint that the number of book vendors in the fair was more than the number of publishers. This time, resolving this issue, Hall No. 12 has been reserved only for publishers. Other stalls have been set up in Hall No. 12A.
Attraction for Students
To connect students with the fair, the Delhi government has sent special invitations to schools and colleges. Various competitions, lectures, and literary programs are also being organized for the students.
Honors and Awards Ceremony
On Friday, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra will attend the fair and honor 15 writers and literary figures. In addition, Delhi's Education Minister, Ashish Sood, will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony on Sunday.
