Fake ED Officials Rob Bentley Showroom Manager of ₹30 Lakh in Delhi

A major robbery has been reported near the Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi, where fake ED (Enforcement Directorate) officials held Bentley car showroom manager Anil hostage and looted ₹30 lakh. The incident occurred on June 20th when Anil was returning home after completing the car shifting work from the showroom. The criminals, posing as fake ED officials, stopped his car and took him hostage. They snatched a bag containing ₹30 lakh in cash, which was kept in the trunk of Anil's car, and fled. This incident has created panic in the area, and the showroom administration has demanded increased security.

Fake Officials Acted with Aggression

In this incident in the Chanakyapuri area, one of the accused was in a police uniform, while the other was in plain clothes. They identified themselves as ED officials and threatened Anil, claiming that hawala money was coming into his showroom and that ED notices would be issued soon. Subsequently, the accused took Anil to the Rajokri area, forcibly snatched the bag containing ₹30 lakh from the trunk of his car, and escaped.

Police Registered a Case

The victim, Anil, filed a complaint at the Chanakyapuri police station on July 2nd. The police have arrested two accused in this case, while the search for the remaining accused is ongoing. Considering the sensitivity of the investigation, the police are currently not disclosing much information about the case publicly to ensure that the other accused are apprehended soon. This incident has heightened fears about security in the area.
