In Delhi's Narela Industrial Area, 27-year-old Mohammed Raja died in a stabbing incident during a mutual dispute. Police have arrested a minor, while the search for other absconding accused is ongoing.
NEW DELHI: A stabbing incident stemming from a mutual dispute on Saturday night in Bawana JJ Colony of Delhi's Narela Industrial Area caused a sensation in the area. In this incident, Mohammed Raja alias Badshah died, while Mohammed Akbar was seriously injured. Police promptly arrested a minor accused, and the search for other absconding accused is underway.
Youth Dies in E-Block Altercation
According to the police, the incident occurred on the night of September 20, around 9 PM. A mutual dispute escalated between two groups in the E-Block area near Dholak Wali Masjid. DCP Hareshwar Swami stated that the dispute was already part of a work-related conflict. Suddenly, the situation escalated into an assault and stabbing.
Mohammed Raja sustained severe injuries to his head and waist. Police promptly transported the injured person to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The incident spread panic among the residents of the colony and cast a pall of gloom over the family.
Identification of Deceased and Injured in E-Block Altercation
Police identified the deceased as 27-year-old Mohammed Raja. He was a local resident of Bawana and known to everyone in the area. The body of the deceased was handed over to the family on Sunday afternoon after the post-mortem. Following the receipt of the body, anger erupted among family members and neighbors.
The injured youth, Mohammed Akbar, is reported to be 23 years old. He has been admitted to Maharishi Valmiki Hospital, where his condition is described as stable. Police collected evidence from the crime scene and also reviewed CCTV footage from the surrounding area.
Arrest of Altercation Accused
Police have arrested a 16-year-old minor in connection with the case. The DCP stated that the remaining accused are absconding and a search for them is underway. Police have interrogated both the deceased's and the injured's sides, and a case has been registered for murder and other relevant sections.
Police stated that during interrogation of the arrested minor, several aspects of the incident have come to light. Teams have been formed to identify and apprehend the absconding accused. Security has been increased in the area to prevent any further untoward incidents.
