Rain, strong winds and possible hail are forecast in Delhi and NCR through the first week of April, with IMD issuing a yellow alert for Saturday. Temperatures have declined following recent rainfall, and intermittent showers are expected to continue until April 8 and 9.

Rainfall activity is expected to continue through the first week of April in the national capital, with a fresh spell likely to begin on Friday and persist through the weekend.

Delhi and adjoining National Capital Region areas are witnessing a change in weather conditions at the start of April, with forecasts indicating rainfall, b winds, and hail in some areas. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Saturday, advising residents to remain cautious.

According to the meteorological department, a new spell of rain is likely to commence from Friday and continue through the weekend. The change is attributed to active western disturbances affecting weather patterns over north India. Rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and hail has been forecast in several areas on April 3 and 4.

Rainfall recorded between Tuesday and Wednesday has led to a noticeable drop in temperature. On Wednesday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 16.8 degrees Celsius, which is 2 degrees below normal, while the maximum temperature stood at 33.5 degrees Celsius, slightly below normal. Humidity levels ranged between 37 percent and 100 percent, contributing to cooler conditions.

In addition to rainfall, b winds are expected to affect conditions in the coming days. Wind speeds are estimated at 20 to 30 km per hour, with gusts reaching up to 40 km per hour. This may lead to a further drop in temperature.
