There is good news for pensioners. The DoPPW will organize Digital Life Certificate (DLC) camps across the country from November 1 to November 30, 2025. Senior citizens above 80 years of age can submit their DLC from October 1 itself. It is now also possible to submit the certificate through face authentication via mobile.
Pensioners camps: The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) will organize Digital Life Certificate (DLC) camps in 1,600 district and sub-divisional headquarters across the country from November 1 to November 30, 2025. The objective is to provide convenience to pensioners near their homes, and senior citizens above 80 years of age can submit their DLC from October 1 onwards. Submitting DLC through face authentication via mobile apps “Aadhaar Face RD” and “Jeevan Pramaan” has also become easier.
Special Facility for Super Senior Citizens
The government has made special provisions for pensioners aged 80 years or above. The facility to submit their life certificate will commence for these senior citizens from October 1, 2025. Banks have been instructed to be ready with their branches for DLC services from October. The aim is to prevent elderly pensioners from having to travel frequently and to reduce their difficulties during winter.
Submitting DLC via Mobile Made Easy
Pensioners can now submit their digital life certificates from the comfort of their homes using their mobile phones. Face authentication will be used for this purpose. This method is particularly beneficial for those pensioners who are immobile or reside in remote areas.
Required Apps and Procedure
To submit the digital life certificate, one must first install the “Aadhaar Face RD” app from the Google Play Store on their smartphone. This app is issued by UIDAI and is essential for face scanning. Subsequently, the app named “Jeevan Pramaan” needs to be installed. This app is used to generate the digital life certificate.
Operator Registration
After installing both apps, open the ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ app. First, you will need to complete operator registration. This involves entering details such as Aadhaar number, mobile number, and email. The verification will then be completed via OTP.
Face Authentication and DLC Submission
Following operator registration, the actual process begins. After entering the pensioner's details, the app will perform facial recognition. Important instructions will appear on the screen before starting the scan, which must be read carefully. Upon completion of the scan, a successful DLC submission message will be displayed on the screen, including the certificate ID and PPO number. Pensioners can download their certificate by visiting the website using this ID.
This campaign will provide pensioners with the facility to submit their life certificates at centers located close to them. Submitting DLC via mobile will prove to be a great relief for elderly pensioners and disabled individuals. This will enhance transparency in government processes and reduce delays in pension disbursement.
