The campaign for pensioners to submit their Digital Life Certificates (DLC) will run from November 1 to November 30, 2025. Elderly individuals aged over 80 years can submit it starting from October 1. Failure to submit the DLC may lead to an interruption in pension payments. It can be submitted through banks, post offices, online portals, or doorstep services.

Jeevan Pramaan Patra: The Government of India's Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) is conducting its fourth nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) campaign from November 1 to November 30, 2025. The objective is to provide uninterrupted pension to pensioners. Elderly individuals above 80 years of age can submit their DLCs starting from October 1. Pensioners can submit it through banks, post offices, online portals, or doorstep services at home. The Aadhaar number is mandatory, which saves time and helps prevent fraud.

Last Date for DLC Submission

Pensioners have been informed to submit their Digital Life Certificates between November 1 and November 30. Senior citizens, especially those above 80 years of age, can submit this certificate from October 1. If pensioners do not submit their DLC on time, there is a possibility of interruption in their pension payments. Therefore, it is mandatory to complete it on time.

What is a Digital Life Certificate?

A Digital Life Certificate is an Aadhaar-based and biometric certificate that every pensioner must submit annually. It certifies that the pensioner is alive and that the pension can be continued. To submit the DLC, an Aadhaar number, name, mobile number, pension-related information such as PPO number, and bank account details are required.

How to Submit a Digital Life Certificate

To make this campaign successful, the government has collaborated with 19 pension disbursing banks, India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), Pensioners' Welfare Associations (PWA), Railways, Department of Telecommunications, UIDAI, and the Ministry of Electronics. Special camps will be set up in bank branches and post offices in major cities across the country. Additionally, for elderly, sick, and differently-abled pensioners residing at home, this facility will also be provided by visiting their homes or hospitals.

Pensioners can choose from several options to submit their DLC. You can submit it through Aadhaar authentication by visiting the online Life Certificate portal. Additionally, this certificate can also be submitted through a postman, doorstep banking service, or designated officials.

Aadhaar Number is Mandatory

An Aadhaar number or Virtual ID (VID) is essential for creating a Digital Life Certificate. Without it, creating a DLC is not possible. Therefore, pensioners whose Aadhaar cards have not been made or are not linked to their bank accounts need to complete this as soon as possible.

Why is a Digital Life Certificate Important?

The biggest advantage of DLC is that pensioners do not have to repeatedly visit government offices to complete paperwork. This entire process has now become digital, saving both time and effort. Additionally, DLC helps prevent fraud and errors in pension disbursement.

Timely submission of the Digital Life Certificate is extremely important for pensioners. It ensures the regularity of their pension and provides them benefits without any hassle.
