The third round of undergraduate admissions at Delhi University is underway. Today, August 3, 2025, until 4:59 PM, candidates can upgrade their seats or reorder their course/college preferences. After this, students will not have the opportunity to make any changes. The Round 3 seat allocation list will be released on August 5th.
DU UG Admission 2025: Delhi University (DU) has commenced the third phase of undergraduate admissions under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS 2025) for the academic session 2025-26. Students who received seats in the first or second round have a final opportunity today to upgrade their seats or reorder their course/college preferences.
This window will remain open until 4:59 PM on August 3, 2025. After this, no student will be allowed to make any changes to their selections.
How to Reorder Preferences or Upgrade Seats
If you have already secured a seat and wish to modify it, follow the steps below:
- Visit the official university website: admission.uod.ac.in
- Go to the login section and log in with your registered credentials.
- Click on the 'Preference Reorder & Upgrade' section.
- Make the necessary changes to your preferences.
- Review all changes and make the final submission before 4:59 PM.
This process applies only to students who have already secured a seat in a previous round and wish to improve their options.
When will the seat allocation take place, and what are the next steps?
The Round 3 seat allocation list will be published on August 5, 2025, at 5 PM. Subsequently, selected students will need to complete certain essential procedures:
- College Verification and Application Approval: From 5 PM on August 5 to 4:59 PM on August 6
- Last Date for Fee Payment: August 7, 2025, at 4:59 PM
If a student fails to pay the fees within the stipulated time, their seat will be considered canceled, and they will not be eligible for the next round.
Next List and Opportunity for Mid-Entry
Delhi University will release the list of vacant seats on August 8th at 5 PM. Simultaneously, a mid-entry window will also be opened for students who have not yet participated in any round. This window will remain open until 4:59 PM on August 10th.
Mid-entry means that students who did not have the opportunity to register or submit documents earlier can now apply afresh.
Information on Performance-Based Programs and Special Quotas
In the third round, seats will also be allocated for performance-based courses such as Music, BFA, Physical Education/Health Education/Sports (PE/HE/S). The list for these will be released on August 13th at 5 PM.
Meanwhile, the first round results for students applying under CW (Children of War Personnel), ECA (Extra Curricular Activities), and Sports Quota will be announced on August 15th at 5 PM.
Until when can admissions be done for Round 3?
The third phase seat allocation list for Delhi University will be released on August 13, 2025. After this, the process of accepting the allocated seats will begin, which will run from August 13 to August 17, 2025. During this period, candidates must visit the portal and approve their seat.
The process of document verification and application review at the college level will continue from August 13 to August 18, 2025. Candidates are advised to follow the guidelines of the respective college and upload all documents on time or take the necessary action for verification.
The final and most important step is fee payment, the deadline for which is set at 4:59 PM on August 19, 2025. If a candidate fails to pay the fee by the stipulated deadline, their seat will automatically be canceled.
