In several cities including Delhi, Noida, Lucknow, and Gurugram, the auspicious time for Ganpati installation was from 11:05 AM to 1:40 PM. It is a religious belief that Lord Ganesha was born on the Chaturthi of Bhadrapad Shukla Paksha, hence worship and installation during this time are considered most auspicious. This 10-day festival will conclude with Ganpati Visarjan on Anant Chaturdashi.

Today's Auspicious Time and Significance of Worship

Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 is being celebrated with great fanfare across the country today, Wednesday, August 27th. This festival is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha, and the 10-day Ganesh Utsav begins on this day. According to the Panchang, the Chaturthi Tithi started on August 26th at 1:54 PM and will last until August 27th at 3:44 PM. The most auspicious time for Madhyanha Ganesh Puja is from 11:06 AM to 1:36 PM today. It is a religious belief that Lord Ganesha was born at this time, hence Ganpati installation during this period is considered particularly auspicious.

Ganpati Installation Time in Delhi-NCR and UP

Devotees in several cities including Delhi, Noida, Lucknow, and Gurugram are installing Ganpati during the auspicious time. The time for Ganpati installation in Delhi and Lucknow is from 11:05 AM to 1:40 PM, while in Noida it is from 11:05 AM to 1:39 PM and in Gurugram from 11:06 AM to 1:40 PM. Devotees are installing idols of Ganpati Bappa in their homes and pandals and worshipping them with due procedure.

Ganesh Pujan Vidhi and Tradition

On Ganesh Chaturthi, devotees begin by bathing in the morning and cleaning the pooja room. During the auspicious time, a chowki or mandap is decorated, and the idol of Ganpati is installed. According to tradition, Kalash Sthapana is performed, and Lord Ganesha is offered sindoor, durva, modak, fruits, flowers, and paan. During the puja, Ganpati Atharvashirsha, Ganesh Chalisa, and mantras are recited. After this, Aarti is performed, and prasad is distributed, marking the beginning of the Ganesh Utsav.
