According to tradition, Kalash Sthapana is performed, and Lord Ganesha is offered sindoor, durva, modak, fruits, flowers, and paan. During the puja, Ganpati Atharvashirsha, Ganesh Chalisa, and mantras are recited. After this, Aarti is performed, and prasad is distributed, marking the beginning of the Ganesh Utsav.
