Gold and silver prices continued to fluctuate on Wednesday, August 26, with both precious metals trading higher in the Indian bullion and futures markets. The rise in international prices was reflected in domestic markets, with gold trading around ₹1.63 lakh per 10 grams and silver near ₹2.45 lakh per kilogram.
Both precious metals traded higher in global markets on Wednesday. On COMEX, gold was up about 0.23% at $4,705.20 per ounce at the time of writing. Silver was also higher, rising about 0.91% to $69.305 per ounce on COMEX.
On the domestic futures market, gold prices also increased on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). According to available initial data, gold was trading about ₹268 higher at ₹1,63,150 per 10 grams.

Silver recorded a larger gain than gold. At around 9 am, the MCX silver price had risen by approximately ₹1,573 to around ₹2,45,700 per kilogram.
According to available market data, 24-carat gold was trading at around ₹1,63,150 per 10 grams. The price of 22-carat gold was around ₹1,49,848 per 10 grams, while 18-carat gold was reported at approximately ₹1,22,603 per 10 grams.
The retail or bullion price of silver can vary slightly across different sources and markets. According to available data, silver was reported at around ₹2,47,840 per kilogram.
