Gorakhpur - The Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) has undertaken a major crackdown on illegal construction and plotting within the city. Following the Vice-Chairman's directives, a banquet hall constructed without approved maps in the Ramgarh Tal area, specifically in Buddha Bihar Part A, has been sealed, and approximately two acres of illegally plotted land has been demolished.
The Authority stated that this action was taken to prevent illegal construction activities and unauthorized land subdivisions during the campaign. Bulldozers were used to raze the illegal structures at the banquet hall and plotting site. Officials clarified that this strict action was taken in response to violations of urban planning and development regulations.
The GDA’s enforcement team, along with the Vice-Chairman and local police forces, were present during the operation, ensuring its peaceful completion. The Authority has stated that strict action will continue to be taken against violations of regulations to ensure the systematic and planned development of the city.
The Authority has appealed to citizens to ensure they obtain necessary approvals and pass maps before commencing any construction work, in order to avoid facing such actions in the future.
