Gorakhpur: The process of obtaining a permanent driving license in Gorakhpur has now become completely digital. The Transport Department has implemented an online test system for obtaining licenses, which will eliminate the need for applicants to stand in long queues at the RTO office.
According to the Transport Department, under the new system, applicants can book online slots from home and complete the license process by taking the test at the scheduled time.
After passing the test, the license will be issued in digital format, which can be downloaded at any time.
Officials state that this new digital system will increase transparency and make the license process simpler and more secure. Additionally, it will curb the involvement of middlemen.
The Transport Department has appealed to citizens to take advantage of the online process and book slots on time to take the test. The department's goal is that all licensing services will be fully digitized in the coming months.
