In the Guna farmer murder case, police have taken significant action, arresting 9 accused individuals. A tractor, a Thar vehicle, and the firearm used in aerial firing have been seized. Four accused are still absconding, and a search is underway for them.
Guna: A sensational case related to a land dispute has emerged from Guna district in Madhya Pradesh. Farmer Ramswaroop Nagar was brutally murdered in a dispute over 6 bighas of land. In this heinous crime, police have taken major action, arresting 9 accused individuals. Meanwhile, 5 people, including the main accused, are still at large. Police have also recovered the Thar vehicle, tractor, and firearm used for aerial firing in the incident.
Fatal Attack on Farmer in Land Dispute
The incident occurred on October 26 in the Fatehgarh police station area of Guna district. According to information, farmer Ramswaroop Nagar had an ongoing dispute with local residents over 6 bighas of land. The dispute turned violent when the accused party attacked the farmer with weapons.
Following the attack, the farmer was run over by a tractor and a Thar vehicle, leaving him critically injured. Villagers transported him to the district hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries that same evening during treatment. This news created a sensation throughout the entire area.
Arrest of Nine Accused in Fatehgarh Case
Given the seriousness of the incident, police formed several teams under the direction of Guna SP Ankit Soni. On October 27, the first accused, Hukum Singh, was arrested. The following day, Jitendra and Lokesh Nagar were also apprehended by the police.
On the evening of October 28, police arrested the main accused, Mahendra Singh Nagar, who had been expelled from the post of BJP booth president. Subsequently, on October 29, five more accused—Nitesh, Naveen, Harish, Kanhaiyalal, and Prince Nagar—were arrested. Out of a total of 14 individuals, 9 accused are now in police custody, while the rest remain absconding.
Tractor, Thar, and Firearm Used in Incident Seized
Police have seized the tractor, Thar vehicle, and the firearm used for aerial firing in this incident. A separate case has also been registered regarding the aerial firing. Meanwhile, during the investigation, it was discovered that ASI Ramgopal Tomar, posted at Fatehgarh police station, had met the main accused after the incident. Due to this negligence, he has been suspended.
Police on Alert in Search of Absconding Accused
Guna SP Ankit Soni stated that five accused are currently absconding, including four women and one man. Eight police teams have been deployed for their arrest. Police say that all the accused will be arrested soon.
This case is now under discussion at both political and social levels. The administration has assured that strict legal action will be taken against the culprits, and no leniency will be shown in ensuring justice for the farmer's family.
