According to information, the woman had long suspected that her husband was involved with another woman. It was stated that the husband had been living separately from the family in another house. On Wednesday, the woman received information that her husband was present at that residence, following which she went there with her children.
After arriving at the house, the woman alleged that she found her husband with another woman. An argument then broke out between the two sides and escalated, drawing local residents to the spot after they heard the commotion.
According to eyewitnesses, the argument between the husband and wife turned into a physical altercation. A dispute also took place with the other woman, and the situation remained tense in the area for some time. Local residents informed the police about the incident.
After receiving the information, Mukhani police reached the spot, brought the situation under control, and took both sides to the police station. Police officers spoke separately with all those involved to understand the sequence of events.
According to the police, the husband and wife reached a mutual settlement after discussions at the police station. No formal complaint has been filed by either party so far. As a result, police resolved the dispute through mutual agreement instead of registering a case.
The Station House Officer of Mukhani police station said the family would undergo counselling to help prevent a similar situation in the future. Police also stated that if either party submits a written complaint or any new facts emerge, appropriate legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.
Police appealed to the public to avoid taking the law into their own hands during family disputes and instead seek legal remedies and dialogue for a peaceful resolution.
