Highway Infra Shares Soar on Debut, Listing at ₹117 with Strong Investor Interest

Shares of Highway Infra provided substantial profits to investors on the very first day of listing. The shares, which came at an issue price of ₹70, listed today at ₹117 and soon reached the upper circuit of ₹122.84. The company plans to use the money raised from the IPO for working capital and other corporate needs.

IPO Listing: On Tuesday, Highway Infra shares made a b debut in the stock market. These shares, issued at ₹70, listed on the BSE at ₹117 and on the NSE at ₹115, giving investors a listing gain of about 67%. After this, the shares further climbed to the upper circuit of ₹122.84. The IPO, which was open from August 5-7, was heavily bought by investors, with an overall subscription of over 316 times.

Highway Infra IPO Listing: ₹117 Thumping Entry for ₹70 Share

Highway Infrastructure Limited's ₹130 crore IPO is giving investors excellent returns. The IPO subscription was open from August 5 to 7, which received b support from investors. The shares issued under the IPO at ₹70 per share were listed on the BSE today at ₹117, while they opened at around ₹115 on the NSE. 

Immediately after listing, the share touched the upper circuit of ₹122.84 on the BSE, giving investors a profit of over 75 percent. This impressive start clearly demonstrates the company's strength in the market and the confidence of investors.

Use of Funds Raised Through IPO

Highway Infra has issued a total of ₹97.52 crore of new shares through the IPO. Apart from this, 46.40 lakh shares were sold under the Offer For Sale, the money from which went directly to the old shareholders. Out of the funds raised from the IPO, approximately ₹65 crore will be spent on working capital needs, while the remaining amount will be used for the company's general corporate purposes. With this funding, Highway Infra will be in a position to better complete its existing projects and increase investment in new projects.

Highway Infra's Business and Projects

Established in 1995, Highway Infrastructure is active in infrastructure development and management. The company undertakes tollway collection, Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) projects, and real estate development. In the tollway collection business, it is active in 11 states and one union territory of the country, where it uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology. As of August 2024, the company has completed 24 tollway collection projects and work is in progress on seven projects. In the EPC sector too, the company has completed 63 projects so far, while work is in progress on 20 projects.

Company's Financial Strength

Highway Infra had earned a net profit of ₹13.80 crore in fiscal year 2023, which increased to ₹21.41 crore in 2024 and ₹22.40 crore in fiscal year 2025. The company's total income has also increased to ₹504.48 crore at a compound rate of over 5%. However, the amount of debt has also increased, which reached ₹71.82 crore by the end of fiscal year 2025. Along with financial strength, the number and quality of the company's projects have further increased investor confidence.
