Gold Price Prediction 2030: 10 Grams May Reach Rs 2.60 Lakh, Reports Estimate

Gold price forecasts for 2030 range from Rs 1.62 lakh to Rs 2.60 lakh per 10 grams, according to Lemonn and PrimeXBT estimates. Here is how much gold purchased in 2026 could be worth after four years.

Buying gold during Dhanteras is a long-standing tradition in India. While some people purchase jewellery, others invest in gold coins and bars as a means of long-term savings. However, for those who purchased gold in 2026, an important question is how much its value could increase over the next four years.

Could the price of 10 grams of gold cross Rs 2 lakh by 2030? Several market reports suggest that this is possible, with estimates varying significantly. However, the actual price will depend on several economic factors.

Gold purchases took place across India on Friday, November 6, 2026, on the occasion of Dhanteras. The price of 24-carat gold was around Rs 1.44 lakh per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at approximately Rs 1.32 lakh per 10 grams.

Prices may vary slightly across cities and jewellery retailers. Buyers also have to pay GST and making charges when purchasing jewellery.

Gold prices have experienced considerable fluctuations in recent times. Despite these movements, interest in gold as a long-term investment has continued. This has raised questions about how much the price of 10 grams of gold, currently valued at around Rs 1.44 lakh, could increase by 2030.

Market estimates regarding gold prices over the coming years vary. Some reports suggest that gold could become considerably more expensive by 2030 compared with its current levels.

According to a report published by investment platform Lemonn on October 1, 2026, the price of 24-carat gold in India could range between Rs 1.62 lakh and Rs 2.60 lakh per 10 grams by 2030.

PrimeXBT has also projected an increase in gold prices. According to its report, the price of 10 grams of gold could reach approximately Rs 2,11,400 in 2030. The report also places the potential price range between Rs 1.43 lakh and Rs 2.80 lakh.

These figures are estimates and do not guarantee that gold will trade at these levels four years from now.

Gold prices are influenced by changing market conditions, including movements in the US dollar, interest rates and major global developments. Consequently, prices could rise or decline over the period.

Suppose you purchased 10 grams of 24-carat gold in November 2026 for Rs 1.44 lakh. If its price increases to Rs 1.62 lakh by 2030, the value of your gold would rise by Rs 18,000. This represents a total gain of approximately 12.5% over four years.

If the price reaches Rs 2,11,400, your 10 grams of gold would be worth Rs 67,400 more than its purchase price. This would represent an increase of approximately 46.8%.

Similarly, if gold reaches Rs 2.60 lakh per 10 grams by 2030, the value of your purchase would increase by Rs 1.16 lakh, representing a total gain of approximately 80.6%.

These calculations are based solely on the difference between the purchase price and the subsequent market value of gold. They do not include GST, jewellery-making charges or deductions applicable when selling gold. Therefore, the actual amount received could be lower.

If you purchase gold worth Rs 1 lakh today and its price increases by 50% over the next four years, its market value would rise to Rs 1.50 lakh. This would represent an increase of Rs 50,000.

Similarly, if you purchase gold worth Rs 2 lakh and its price increases by 50%, its market value after four years would become Rs 3 lakh.

However, gold prices do not necessarily increase over time. For instance, if you purchase gold worth Rs 1 lakh and its market price subsequently declines by 10%, the value of your holding would fall to Rs 90,000.
