Madhya Pradesh spinner Vaishnavi Sharma takes four wickets in four consecutive deliveries and finishes with 6/22 against Andhra Pradesh in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy as her team wins by nine wickets.

Indian women’s cricketer Vaishnavi Sharma created history in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy by taking four wickets in four consecutive deliveries. The Madhya Pradesh left-arm spinner finished with figures of 6 wickets for 22 runs against Andhra Pradesh, helping her team secure a nine-wicket victory.

The match between Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh was played at the PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh on Friday, November 6. Madhya Pradesh won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Vaishnavi Sharma was introduced into the attack in the fifth over of the Andhra Pradesh innings. The left-arm spinner had already taken two wickets for 16 runs in her first three overs. However, her most remarkable performance came in the final over of her spell.

After conceding six runs from the first two deliveries, Vaishnavi dismissed four consecutive batters from the next four balls. Henrietta Pereira was dismissed on the third delivery, followed by Anjali Sarvani on the fourth and Akhila Pavani on the fifth. Shabnam Shakil was dismissed on the final delivery of the over.

With this performance, Vaishnavi registered a rare four-wicket sequence in four consecutive deliveries, also known as a double hat-trick.

According to available T20 records, Vaishnavi Sharma has become the second Indian woman bowler to take four wickets in four consecutive deliveries.

Before her, Humaira Kazi achieved the feat in 2022 while representing Mumbai against Saurashtra.

Andhra Pradesh struggled to build a substantial total against Madhya Pradesh's bowling attack. The team finished its allotted 20 overs at 129 for eight.

Henrietta Pereira was Andhra Pradesh's highest scorer, contributing 59 runs. She held one end together and helped the team progress, but received limited support from the other batters.

No other Andhra Pradesh batter managed to reach 25 runs. Vaishnavi's four-wicket over further restricted the team's scoring efforts during the closing stages of the innings.

Chasing a target of 130, Madhya Pradesh maintained control of the innings from the beginning. Openers Anushka Sharma and Ayushi Shukla added 99 runs for the first wicket.

Anushka remained unbeaten on 81 off 53 deliveries, hitting five fours and six sixes. Ayushi Shukla contributed 37 runs from 29 balls, including two fours and two sixes.

Following Ayushi's dismissal, Madhya Pradesh continued to score at a steady pace and reached 133 for one in just 15.1 overs.

Madhya Pradesh won the match by nine wickets. Anushka Sharma was named Player of the Match for her batting performance.

Vaishnavi Sharma had previously attracted attention for her bowling performances in international age-group cricket.

During the 2025 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup, she took a hat-trick against Malaysia. In that match, she finished with figures of five wickets for five runs in four overs.

She became the first bowler to take a hat-trick in the history of the Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup.
