The mortal remains of 24-year-old Agniveer Samudra Gurjar, who went missing in Arunachal Pradesh around two-and-a-half months ago following a cloudburst and landslide, are being brought to his native village of Kesarpur in Rajasthan's Alwar district. His ashes are being transported from the Itarana Army Camp in Alwar on Thursday, November 5, as villagers prepare to gather to pay their final respects.

Samudra Gurjar, a resident of Kesarpur village in Alwar district, was serving in the Indian Army as an Agniveer and was posted in Arunachal Pradesh. Around two-and-a-half months ago, he went missing following a cloudburst that triggered flooding and landslides in the Dibang Valley region.

After receiving news of the incident, his family continued waiting for information about him. His parents and two sisters had hoped that he would be found safe and eventually return home.

However, after a prolonged wait, the family received confirmation of his death, leaving the entire village in mourning. Residents who had known Samudra since childhood are now gathering to pay their final respects.

Following the incident in Arunachal Pradesh, a total of seven Army personnel were reported missing. Two of them were rescued, while Samudra Gurjar remained unaccounted for over an extended period.

After a body was recovered, DNA testing was conducted to establish its identity. On November 3, the test confirmed that the body belonged to Agniveer Samudra Gurjar.

Following the confirmation, his family members travelled to Arunachal Pradesh and performed his last rites there on November 3. His ashes have now been brought to Alwar so that his family members and local residents can pay their final respects in his native village.

One of the most difficult aspects of the tragedy for the family is that Samudra had been planning to return home before the incident. He was scheduled to take leave and visit his family ahead of Raksha Bandhan, but the incident in Arunachal Pradesh occurred before he could make the trip.

According to information from the family, Samudra had also spoken about taking leave to visit home for his father's operation. His family members had been waiting for his return.

Samudra was unmarried and the only brother of his two sisters. The family, which had been looking forward to welcoming him home, is now mourning his death.

Samudra's father, Badli Gurjar, is a farmer. Since his son went missing, the family had continuously waited for news about him.

The confirmation of Samudra's identity has deeply affected his parents and both sisters. The family is grieving his death, while villagers are standing alongside them during this difficult time.

After receiving information that his ashes would be brought to the village on Thursday, local residents began gathering to pay their final respects. Kesarpur remains in mourning.

The ashes of Samudra Gurjar were scheduled to be brought from the Itarana Army Camp to his native village on Thursday. Residents began arriving in the village to pay their final respects.

His death has left both his family and the entire village grieving. Local residents are gathering to pay tribute to him and offer condolences to his family.

The incident in Arunachal Pradesh has taken away a son from a family that had been expecting his return home for Raksha Bandhan. For nearly two-and-a-half months, his family had hoped that he would be found safe. However, the confirmation of his identity on November 3 brought their wait to an end with the news of his death.

Kesarpur is now preparing to bid a final farewell to its 24-year-old Agniveer, Samudra Gurjar.
