Questions Raised Again on Historical Heritage
Humayun's Tomb was built between 1565 and 1572 by his wife, Haji Begum. It is considered the first grand example of Mughal architectural art, and it served as an inspiration for many monuments like the Taj Mahal. Made of red sandstone and white marble, this heritage is still the pride of Indian history.
In recent years, the Aga Khan Trust and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) have carried out extensive renovations. Currently, the tomb is in a b condition, and the main structure has not suffered any damage. The accident only occurred due to the collapse of the roof of a room located in the tomb complex, which has raised questions about safety and maintenance.
