IBPS PO Prelim Result 2025 Expected Soon; Mains Exam Scheduled for October 12

IBPS PO Prelim Result 2025 will be released online soon. Qualified candidates will take the Mains examination on October 12. Cut-off marks and the method to check the result will be available on the official IBPS website.

IBPS PO Pre Result 2025: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) may release the Probationary Officer (PO) Preliminary Examination 2025 result online this week. Candidates who appeared for this examination on August 17, 23, and 24, 2025, can soon check their scores and cut-off marks on the official IBPS website, ibps.in.

Candidates who achieve the prescribed cut-off marks in this examination will be considered qualified for the Mains exam. The result will be available only through online mode, and no candidate will be sent the result individually.

Mains Examination Scheduled for October 12, 2025

For candidates who qualify the preliminary examination, the IBPS PO Mains Exam will be conducted on October 12, 2025. Admit cards for successful candidates will be made available on the website a few days before the examination date. Candidates are advised to download their admit cards to obtain complete information regarding the examination center and time.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern

Some changes have been made to the Mains exam pattern this year. Earlier, a total of 155 questions were asked, whereas now this number has been limited to 145 questions. Previously, 180 minutes were given to solve the paper; now the time limit has been set at 160 minutes.

Key subjects asked in the Mains examination:

  • Reasoning and Logical Ability
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • English Language
  • General Awareness and Current Affairs
  • Computer Knowledge

Successful candidates will subsequently be called for an interview. A final merit list will be prepared based on the interview performance and Mains examination scores. Candidates included in the final list will be appointed to banks under the recruitment process.

A total of 5208 appointments will be made through this recruitment. The details of vacant posts in various banks are as follows:

  • Central Bank of India: 500 Posts
  • Indian Bank: NR
  • Indian Overseas Bank: 450 Posts
  • Punjab National Bank: 200 Posts
  • Punjab & Sind Bank: 358 Posts
  • UCO Bank: NR
  • Union Bank of India: NR

It is important to note that NR stands for Not Released, and information regarding the posts in these banks will be updated later.

How to Check Result

Candidates can follow the steps below to check their IBPS PO Prelim Result:

Step 1: First, visit the official website ibps.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the result link in the Recent Updates section.

Step 3: A new page will open. Log in by entering your registration number/roll number and password or date of birth.

Step 4: After logging in, your scorecard will appear on the screen. You can check and download it.

Cut-off and Qualification

Only those who achieve the prescribed cut-off marks in the preliminary examination will be eligible for the IBPS PO Mains Exam. Information regarding the cut-off marks will be released along with the result. The cut-off is determined based on the total marks in the preliminary examination, the number of candidates, and the availability of posts.
