The IMD has forecast rain, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds across parts of 23 states on October 13, 2026, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Delhi-NCR and southern India.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain, thunderstorms, lightning and b winds across several parts of India on October 13, 2026. According to the forecast, 23 states may experience changing weather conditions, with wind speeds reaching up to 60 kmph in some areas.

Rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue in several regions despite the gradual withdrawal of the monsoon. The forecast covers parts of Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and southern India. The intensity of the weather alert may vary by region, and heavy rainfall has not been forecast uniformly across all states.

According to the weather forecast, several parts of northwestern, eastern, central and southern India may experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms and b winds.

In northern India, rainfall is possible at isolated locations in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. In eastern India, some areas of Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha may also receive rain.

Chhattisgarh requires particular attention to forecasts for thunderstorms and b winds. In southern India, weather activity is also expected in parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring areas.

Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) may experience cloudy skies and rainfall at some locations on Tuesday, October 13. Thunderstorms accompanied by b winds are also possible.

Changing weather conditions may lead to fluctuations in temperatures and affect road traffic. Residents are advised to check local weather updates before travelling. During b winds, people should avoid standing near trees, weak structures and electricity poles.

Rain and thunderstorms are possible at some locations in Uttar Pradesh. Weather conditions may vary between western and eastern parts of the state, and forecasts for individual districts should not be considered representative of the entire state.

Some areas of Bihar may also receive rainfall. However, the possibility of torrential rain has not been confirmed for all districts. Farmers and residents of rural areas should monitor local weather warnings, particularly in locations where harvesting or crop-drying activities are underway.

Some areas of Jharkhand and Odisha may receive rainfall on October 13. Heavy rain is also possible at isolated locations in Odisha, while rainfall may continue in parts of West Bengal.

During heavy rain and lightning, people should avoid open fields, water bodies and taking shelter under trees. Residents of low-lying areas should monitor conditions for possible waterlogging.

Residents of Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer and surrounding areas should monitor local weather forecasts. Cloudy conditions, light rain or b winds may occur in some locations.

However, a uniform heavy-rain warning should not be assumed to apply to every district in Rajasthan. The IMD's official forecast should be prioritised for the latest information on temperatures and rainfall in Jaipur.

Rainfall activity may continue in parts of southern India beyond October 13. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal may experience thunderstorms accompanied by b winds.

Rain and b surface winds are also possible along the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring regions.
