In particular, Rajinikanth's 'Coolie', Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR's 'War 2', Mohit Suri's 'Sayyara' and the animated film 'Mahavatar Narasimha' maintained their grip on the box office. Let's find out how much each film earned and which film was the real winner of August 15th.

'War 2': Hrithik and Jr. NTR's duo impressed

Director Mohit Suri's 'Sayyara', starring Ayan Pandey and Anit Padda, was liked by the audience. The film earned bly in the initial weeks and its total box office collection has reached ₹322.8 crore so far. However, due to the release of big films on August 15th, 'Sayyara's grip weakened. On the 28th day, the film earned only ₹20 lakh. At the same time, its collection fell further to ₹15 lakh on Independence Day.

'Mahavatar Narasimha': Unique craze of animation film

The craze for 'Mahavatar Narasimha', one of the most talked-about animated films of this year, is still intact. This film is still attracting audiences on the 22nd day of its release. On August 15th, the film did business of ₹7.25 crore. With this, the film's total collection has reached ₹195.60 crore. Interestingly, despite mega releases like 'Coolie' and 'War 2', there was no significant drop in the earnings of 'Mahavatar Narasimha'.
