Indian Delegation Honored in China for Strengthening Cultural Ties

Varun Chopra of Haryana and Muskan Bhayana of Panipat received special recognition for their contribution to strengthening India-China cultural relations in China. Muskan Bhayana, who was part of a nine-member Indian delegation, stated that Dr. Dwarkanath Kotnis and Dr. Basu are still remembered as "messiahs" in China today.

Panipat News: Varun Chopra from Haryana and Muskan Bhayana from Panipat were specially honored as part of a nine-member delegation that visited China to promote India-China cultural relations. This event was organized amidst the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping, aiming to give a new direction to the relations between the two countries. Sharing her experiences upon returning home, Muskan Bhayana said that Dr. Dwarkanath Kotnis and Dr. Basu are still respected like "messiahs" in China today.

Indian Delegation Participates in China Visit

A nine-member delegation reached China to strengthen India-China cultural relations, which included Muskan Bhayana from Haryana and Varun Chopra from Delhi. During this seven-day tour, the delegation visited several historical sites and promoted cultural exchange.

Muskan Bhayana, a student from IIT Jodhpur, shared that during this trip, she realized how deep the India-China relationship is and how much respect Indians receive there.

Memory of Dr. Kotnis and Dr. Basu Still Alive in China

The delegation visited the provinces of Shaanxi, Hebei, and Beijing in China, where tribute was paid to the contributions of Dr. Dwarkanath Kotnis and Dr. Basu. Muskan stated that the Chinese people still remember both Indian doctors as "gods."

During the Japanese invasion, both doctors treated thousands of people and saved their lives. For this reason, Indians are given special respect in China, and emotional ties between India and China are further strengthened.

Indian Members Moved by Respect for Chinese Tradition

During the trip, Muskan Bhayana, Varun Chopra, and a family member of Dr. Kotnis, Dr. Mangesh, were honored with traditional Chinese gifts. This honor was historically bestowed upon emperors, which deeply moved the Indian delegation.

Muskan said that this experience proves how much importance China places on Indian culture and family values. This honor reflects the mutual trust and the depth of relationships between the two countries.

Meetings with Chinese Officials

The delegation was invited by the Chinese government and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). During this period, meetings were held with several senior officials, including those from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the meetings, India-China cultural similarities and common areas were discussed in detail. Muskan mentioned that China highly values the Indian medical and entertainment industries, and relationships in these sectors will strengthen further in the future.
