The Indore Municipal Corporation will take a 24-hour shutdown on Tuesday to repair leakage in the 1,200 mm pipeline at Bilawali Valley. As a result, 20 water tanks in the city will not be filled to their regular levels, affecting water supply in several areas on Wednesday.
The shutdown for leakage repair in the 1,200 mm Bilawali Valley pipeline is expected to affect water supply in areas including Annapurna, Chhatri Bagh and Raj Mohalla. The extent of the disruption will depend on the completion of the repair work and the subsequent filling of the affected water tanks.
Due to the shutdown, the 20 water tanks connected to the pipeline will not receive their regular quantity of water. Areas supplied by these tanks may experience reduced water availability on the following day.
The Municipal Corporation decided to undertake the 24-hour shutdown to repair the pipeline leakage that had been affecting the water supply system. After the repair work is completed, efforts will be made to restore the water supply system to normal.

The shutdown may affect areas supplied by the concerned water tanks, including Annapurna, Chhatri Bagh and Raj Mohalla. Water supply in these areas may be available at lower pressure or remain affected on Wednesday.
The duration of the disruption will depend on the completion of the leakage repair work and the status of water filling in the tanks.
The Municipal Corporation will carry out the repair of the 1,200 mm pipeline during the 24-hour shutdown. Once the work is completed, the process of filling the water tanks and restoring supply to the affected areas will begin.
Water availability in the affected areas may remain lower than on normal days on Wednesday as the system returns to regular operation.
