Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is living a normal life with his family at his government residence in Delhi. Busy with yoga, table tennis, and watching OTT shows, Dhankhar is awaiting the allocation of a new bungalow. The Union Home Minister has dismissed the opposition's apprehensions about his ‘disappearance.’

New Delhi: Despite not being seen in public, Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is completely safe and living a normal life at his government residence in Delhi. After resigning from the post of Vice President on July 21 citing health reasons, some opposition leaders had raised questions about his disappearance. But now, reports have clarified that Dhankhar is busy with his private routine with his family and is in no way ‘missing.’

Dhankhar Remains Busy with Yoga, Table Tennis, and TV Shows

According to reports, the 74-year-old Dhankhar's routine revolves around yoga and table tennis. His morning begins with a yoga session and ends in the evening with a game of table tennis at the mini sports complex of the Vice President's residence in the Lutyens Zone.

For entertainment, Dhankhar watches shows on OTT platforms. His watch list includes shows like ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ and ‘House of Cards.’ A lawyer by profession, Dhankhar's routine is helping him maintain his personal health and mental balance.

Dhankhar Spending Time with Family After Resignation

After resigning, Dhankhar started spending time with his family at his bungalow in Delhi. His wife, Sudesh Dhankhar, has visited Rajasthan at least three times in the past month. Two commercial buildings are under construction on their ancestral agricultural land in Jaipur.

Dhankhar's daughter, Kamana Vajpayee, comes from Gurugram to Delhi every day to meet her parents. Recently, Sudesh Dhankhar went to Jaipur, where she organized a Havan ceremony at the building under construction.

Dhankhar Awaits Government Facilities

According to the former Vice President's staff, Dhankhar is awaiting the new bungalow to be provided by the government. An official said that after the bungalow is allotted, he will also receive facilities like a government car, escort, and security guards.

Dhankhar had suddenly resigned on the night of July 21, before the Parliament's monsoon session. This step was taken due to health reasons, and he is now busy with his private life.

Amit Shah Responded to Questions Raised on Former Vice President

Last week, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, questioned why the former Vice President was not visible. On this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that this issue should not be given a political twist. Shah praised Dhankhar's tenure and said that he resigned due to personal health reasons.

Shah said, “No one needs to drag this issue. The former Vice President is completely safe and is living a normal life with his family.”
