The deceased, Arpit, was a resident of Bapu Nagar. After the incident, police rushed the child to hospital, where doctors declared him dead. On Wednesday, following a post-mortem examination, the body was handed over to the family.

A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday evening in the Khoh Nagorian police station area of Jaipur. Arpit, an 11-year-old boy from the Bapu Nagar locality in Ropada, died after falling into a drain while chasing a kite. The incident took place at around 6:30 pm when Arpit was flying and chasing kites with other children near his home.

While running to catch a cut kite, he moved towards a nearby drain. He lost his balance, slipped, and fell directly into the drain, which was about seven feet deep and filled with water.

As soon as the child fell into the drain, panic broke out among people in the area. Local residents immediately informed the Khoh Nagorian police. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and began rescue operations.

After nearly half an hour of efforts, the child was pulled out of the drain with the help of police and local residents. His condition was critical at the time. Without delay, the police took him to JNU Hospital.

Doctors at JNU Hospital examined Arpit and declared him dead. On Wednesday morning, a post-mortem examination was conducted at the hospital, after which the body was handed over to the family. Khoh Nagorian police station in-charge Omprakash Matwa said the incident occurred due to negligence and loss of balance.
