Jaipur has been ranked as the fifth most beautiful tourist city in the world in a survey by Travel + Leisure magazine. Deputy CM Diya Kumari attributed this achievement to PM Modi and CM Bhajanlal Sharma.
Jaipur: Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, has once again succeeded in shining on the global map. It has secured the 5th position in the list of the world's most beautiful and popular tourist destinations. This position has been achieved by Jaipur in the 'World's Best Awards 2025' survey conducted by the prestigious international travel magazine Travel + Leisure, which has also raised India's name with pride. This list is prepared every year based on the feedback, experiences, and ratings of travelers from all over the world. This time, Jaipur has not only secured the highest position in India but has also made its place in the list of the top 5 tourist cities in the world.
Jaipur's Beauty Stole the Show
Jaipur, known as the 'Pink City', has been extremely popular among tourists due to its historical heritage, architecture, vibrant culture, and regal splendor. Magnificent buildings like Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, City Palace, Jal Mahal, and Jaigarh Fort are the identity of this city. Along with this, Rajasthani food, traditional handicrafts, and the color of folk culture also attract tourists. In the survey, Jaipur received high ratings for its magnificent palaces, hospitality, traditional markets, colorful festivals, and rich cultural heritage. Especially during festivals like Diwali and Teej, the vibrancy and decoration of Jaipur have attracted many tourists.
Jaipur's Shine in the Top 10 Cities
The inclusion of Jaipur in the list of beautiful cities around the world by 'Travel + Leisure' is a major achievement for India. In this list, San Miguel de Allende in Mexico is in the first place, Chiang Mai in Thailand is in the second place, Tokyo (Japan) is in the third place, Bangkok (Thailand) is in the fourth place, and Jaipur is in the fifth place. After Jaipur, Hoi An in Vietnam, Mexico City, Kyoto in Japan, Ubud in Bali, and Cusco in Peru are included in the sixth to tenth places.
Reasons Behind Receiving International Recognition
Jaipur did not get this recognition just like that. Behind this achievement are the city's cultural vibrancy, preservation of heritage sites, expansion of tourism facilities, and continuous efforts of promotion and publicity by the government. The travel magazine especially praised Jaipur's luxury hotels, the tradition of converting heritage palaces into hotels, shopping experiences, street food, and the events held during festivals.
Who Had the Biggest Contribution?
Rajasthan's Deputy CM Diya Kumari, who also handles the tourism ministry, described this achievement as a moment of pride for the country and the state. She gave credit for this success to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
Diya Kumari Said: 'Prime Minister Modi ji's global vision policies and the commitment of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma ji have brought Jaipur to this point. This is the result of the emphasis we have given on infrastructure, security, cleanliness, and cultural presentations related to tourism.'
Tourism Will Get a New Dimension
After being included in this list, it is certain that the pace of tourism in Jaipur will increase further. New employment opportunities will emerge in services like the hotel industry, handicraft trade, and guide services. The number of international tourists is also bound to increase. This will also give new strength to the economy of Rajasthan.
Preservation of Cultural and Heritage Sites Became a Strong Point
The preservation and promotion of Jaipur's historical heritage has been the backbone of this success. The way the state government has preserved sites like Amer Palace, Nahargarh Fort, Sisodia Garden has impressed not only the local people but also foreign tourists.
