The National Testing Agency (NTA) may soon begin online registration for JEE Mains 2026 Session-1. The examination will be conducted between January 21 and 30, 2026, and applications will only be accepted through the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
JEE Mains 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has indicated the likelihood of soon beginning registration for JEE Mains 2026 Session-1. As soon as the application process starts, students will be able to fill out the online form by visiting the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Applications for this examination will only be accepted online. Applications through offline or any other means will not be entertained.
JEE Mains 2026 Session-1 Exam Dates
NTA has already announced the exam dates for both Session 1 and Session 2 of JEE Mains 2026.
- Session 1 Exam: January 21 to 30, 2026
- Session 2 Exam: April 1 to 10, 2026
Students are advised not to delay the application process along with their exam preparation. It is also essential to submit the fee immediately after filling out the online form.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Mains 2026
Certain academic criteria have been prescribed for applying to this examination.
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects.
- Students currently studying in Class 12 are also eligible to apply.
- There is no age limit for this examination.
- Thus, all eligible students, whether they have recently passed Class 12 or are currently studying, can participate in this examination.
How to Apply for JEE Mains 2026
The online application process for JEE Mains 2026 Session-1 can be completed by following these steps:
- First, visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- On the homepage, click on the "Online Application Form for JEE (Main) – 2026 Session-1" link in the LATEST NEWS section.
- Complete the registration by clicking on the 'New Registration' link and filling in the required basic information.
- After registration, log in and upload other details such as personal information, educational qualifications, photo, and signature.
- Submit the prescribed application fee and then submit the form.
- Take a printout of the completely filled form and keep it safe.
Candidates are advised to fill in all information accurately during the application process and ensure that uploaded documents are in the standard format.
JEE Mains 2026 Application Fees
The application fee has been determined according to the candidate's category.
- Unreserved category male candidates: Rs 1000
- General OBC and General EWS category male candidates: Rs 900
- Unreserved, General OBC, and General EWS category female candidates: Rs 800
- SC/ST/Transgender/PWD candidates: Rs 500
Fees can only be submitted through online mode. Debit cards, credit cards, or net banking can be used for this purpose.
