Taapsee Pannu and Kangana Ranaut’s long-running dispute has resurfaced following recent remarks by Taapsee and a subsequent response from Kangana on social media.
Taapsee Pannu’s Remarks Renew Dispute
In a recent interview, Taapsee Pannu spoke about her reported differences with Kangana Ranaut. Asked whether the two actresses had resolved their earlier dispute, Taapsee said she had never met Kangana personally and had not met her even before the dispute began.
Taapsee also said that her views about Kangana are influenced by her own upbringing, the way she communicates and her perspective on things. She indicated that she continues to stand by her views. Following these remarks, the earlier dispute between the two actresses again drew attention on social media.
Kangana Ranaut Responds on Social Media
Following Taapsee’s comments, Kangana Ranaut shared a post on her official Instagram account on Saturday evening without naming Taapsee. In the post, Kangana used b language about Taapsee and accused her of attempting to create controversy to promote her upcoming film.
Kangana also accused Taapsee of making fun of her upbringing and parents. She said that parents generally try to do the best they can for their children according to their abilities and that it is not appropriate to involve family members in personal disputes.
In the post, Kangana also used the term “cheap copy” in reference to Taapsee. She questioned why her parents should be held responsible if questions are being raised about her identity and upbringing.
Kangana Refers to Family and Upbringing
Kangana later shared a news report related to Taapsee’s remarks on her Instagram Story and referred to her family and educational background.
She said that her family has been the subject of public comments on several occasions. Kangana described her family as belonging to a Rajput zamindar background and said that her parents are educated.
Kangana also said that the decision related to the beginning of her career was her own. According to her, she chose to build her professional identity herself and said that questioning the role of her parents in that decision was not appropriate.
