CPR is a life-saving technique
CPR is a technique used when a person's heart stops beating or they stop breathing. Its purpose is to restart the heart and maintain oxygen supply to the brain and other vital organs.
In case of a heart attack, pressure is applied to the patient's chest with both hands, 100-120 times per minute. After every 30 compressions, two rescue breaths are given. This process continues until the person regains consciousness or further medical help arrives.
Rohit Tomar saved a citizen's life
Rohit Tomar had received CPR training, which he applied in a real-life situation. The Kanpur Commissionerate Police periodically trains its staff in CPR and life-saving techniques to save lives in any adverse situation. It was due to this training that the sub-inspector made an immediate decision and pulled the patient out of a critical condition. The victim's wife expressed her gratitude and appreciation towards the sub-inspector.
