Video of the Incident Surfaces

A video of the shooting incident at Kapil Sharma's cafe in Canada is going viral on social media. The video shows a person getting out of a car, taking out a pistol, and firing shots at the cafe. The attacker has been identified as Harjit Singh alias Laddi.

Who is Harjit Singh alias Laddi?

Harjit Singh alias Laddi is a resident of Garpadhana village in the Nawanshahr district of Punjab. His father's name is Kuldeep Singh. Laddi is not just an ordinary criminal but, according to the NIA, is an active member of a Khalistan-supporting terrorist module.

Connection with Babbar Khalsa International

The NIA's investigation has revealed that Laddi is linked to the banned terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). This organization has already been notorious for terrorist activities in India. Laddi is in direct contact with foreign handlers of this organization, who plot attacks through him.

Reward of 10 lakh rupees on Laddi

The NIA has declared Harjit Laddi a fugitive terrorist and has announced a reward of 10 lakh rupees for his capture. The agency has also sought cooperation from the public in the search for Laddi and has released email, WhatsApp, and telephone numbers for this purpose.

Also Involved in the Murder of a VHP Leader

Harjit Laddi's name has also surfaced in another major incident in India. In 2024, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Vikas Bagga was murdered. The NIA was entrusted with the investigation of this case, in which the names of Laddi, along with Kulbir Singh alias Sidhu, and several other accused came to light.

According to the NIA's charge sheet, the entire conspiracy was hatched through Khalistani financiers and modules based abroad. Harjit Laddi was a part of this conspiracy and played an active role in it.

Digital Evidence and Foreign Funding Network

The NIA's investigation has also revealed that Laddi remains in constant contact with his foreign handlers through digital media. He not only communicates with people associated with Babbar Khalsa International but also works on funding and plans for terrorist attacks.

So far, evidence of his digital chats, call records, and fund transactions has been collected. This is the reason why he has been declared a most-wanted individual by India's largest investigation agency.

No FIR in Punjab, Yet Under NIA's Radar

Although no formal FIR has been registered against Harjit Laddi by the Punjab Police yet, nor has any charge sheet been made public. However, the evidence that has emerged against him in the NIA's investigation is considered very b. According to the NIA, Laddi is secretly running a terrorist network and is engaged in carrying out his activities from Canada to India.

Links to the Khalistan Movement

Laddi's name is once again being linked to the resurgence of the Khalistan movement. In recent years, there has been an increase in anti-India activities promoted by Khalistani elements based abroad. Their networks are particularly active in countries like Canada, the United States, and the UK.
