Vijay's Statement and Compensation Details
Actor-politician Vijay announced ₹20 lakh each for those who died in the stampede and ₹2 lakh each for the injured. He wrote, "Greetings to all those who reside in my heart. My heart and mind are deeply distressed thinking about what happened yesterday in Karur. In this extremely sorrowful situation, I don't know how to express the pain of losing our loved ones. My eyes and mind are troubled."
Vijay further wrote, "All your faces, whom I have met, come alive in my mind. My heart is even more saddened thinking about my own people, who showed affection and love, and whom I have lost."
"This Loss Is Irreparable"
Vijay stated that this loss is so immense that it cannot be fully compensated. Sharing his emotions, he said, "My heartfelt condolences to all my relatives who have lost their loved ones. I share this profound sorrow with you. This is a loss that we cannot make up for. No matter who tries to console us, we cannot bear the loss of our relatives."
Despite this, he also stated that it is his duty to provide ₹20 lakh each to the families of the deceased and ₹2 lakh each to the injured. Vijay said, "This is not a large sum compared to the magnitude of this loss. However, at this moment, as a member of your family, it is my duty to stand wholeheartedly with you, my relatives."
