Security forces retaliated, forcing the terrorists to flee. No casualties among security personnel were reported. SSP Naresh Singh stated that there was indiscriminate firing from the terrorists' side, but no damage occurred.
Arms and Ammunition Recovered in Handwara
Security forces have recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition in Handwara. Police, Army, and CRPF conducted this operation based on concrete intelligence. The recovered weapons include a Turkish-made 9mm pistol, two magazines, two Chinese 7.62mm pistols, two Chinese pistol magazines, 14 rounds, eight Chinese hand grenades, one AK magazine, and 40 rounds.
