Kranti Gaur: Rising Indian Fast Bowler Creates History in England ODI Series

Young Indian women's cricket team fast bowler Kranti Gaur has grabbed the attention of the world with her explosive performance in the ODI series against England.

Sports News: Kranti Gaur, the young fast bowler of the Indian women's cricket team, has surprised cricket fans and experts alike with her stellar performance in the ongoing ODI series against England. At just 21 years old, and in only her fourth ODI match, Kranti has achieved what only one other Indian female fast bowler has managed to do – take 6 wickets in an ODI match.

Kranti Creates History in England, Becomes Heroine of Series Victory

In the recently concluded three-match ODI series, India defeated England 2-1. The biggest find of this series was Kranti Gaur, who took 6 wickets in only her fourth ODI match. She achieved this feat in the decisive third match of the series, where even England's experienced batsmen looked helpless against her inswing deliveries.

With this victory, India recorded a historic series win on English soil, and Kranti was declared 'Player of the Match'. With a total of 9 wickets in three matches, she was the most successful bowler of the series.

Creates History After Jhulan Goswami

Kranti Gaur has become only the second Indian female fast bowler to take 6 wickets in an ODI. Previously, this feat was achieved by India's legendary fast bowler Jhulan Goswami in 2011 against New Zealand, when she took 6 wickets for 31 runs. Apart from this, Deepti Sharma (2 times), Mamta Maben and Jhulan are the only other bowlers who have taken six wickets in an ODI.

Kranti Gaur's journey to Team India is nothing short of a film story. Kranti, who hails from Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, revealed in a video released by the BCCI that her family's financial condition was so poor that they sometimes had to borrow food from their neighbors. There was a time when she started playing cricket with boys using a tennis ball because she had no other option at that time.

Seeing the lack of fast bowling in girls' cricket, she molded herself in that direction. Kranti said that initially she did not even have access to coaching facilities, but she never gave up.

Inspiration from Hardik Pandya

Kranti followed Hardik Pandya in her early days. She said, "I used to watch Hardik Pandya's bowling videos and learned the technique of fast bowling by watching him." This passion continued to inspire her, and today that same passion has brought her into the ranks of fast bowlers in the Indian team.

Kranti's performance has not only given India a victory in England but has also given women's cricket a new fast bowler, who could become the backbone of the team in the years to come. After a long time, the Indian women's cricket team has seen a glimpse of Jhulan Goswami in a new fast bowler.
