So far, three terrorists have been killed in this operation, while one soldier has been injured.

Search Operation Launched After Intelligence Input

On August 1st, security forces launched a search operation in the Akhal forest area of South Kashmir after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists. During the search, the terrorists opened fire, prompting a retaliatory action by the security forces. This subsequently escalated into an encounter.

Firing and Explosions Continued Throughout the Night

During the operation, sounds of firing and explosions were heard in the forests even on Tuesday night. Security forces have cordoned off the entire area and are continuing their search operation. A constant deployment of forces is present in the area, and senior officials are monitoring the situation.

High-Tech Technology Being Used

High-tech surveillance technologies and drones are being used in this operation. Additionally, a special para force unit of the army is also part of this operation. According to the army, this could be the biggest anti-terror operation of the year.

Third Major Encounter in a Week

Prior to this, three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists involved in the attack on tourists in the Baisaran valley were killed under Operation Mahadev in Pahalgam. Meanwhile, on July 31, two Pakistani terrorists were eliminated near the Line of Control in Poonch.

High-Level Monitoring

The Director General of Police of Jammu and Kashmir and the Commander of the 15th Corps of the Army are constantly monitoring this operation. The weapons and documents recovered during the operation are being investigated to identify other parts of the terrorist network.

Operation Still Ongoing

Security forces have clarified that the operation will continue until all the terrorists are eliminated. The search operation is ongoing throughout the area, and any suspicious activity is being monitored.
