The accused forced the elderly man to lick urine after he urinated inside the temple complex. The police took immediate action in the matter, taking the accused into custody and registering a case. Atrocity Against Elderly Man in Kakori Temple
The incident occurred at the Sheetla Devi Temple in Kakori. Rampal stated that he had urinated inside the temple premises due to illness, but subsequently, the accused subjected him to inhumane treatment. The accused also hurled casteist slurs at the elderly man.
Rampal filed a complaint at the police station, and the police immediately registered a case and initiated action against the accused. According to police sources, the crime scene has been inspected, and necessary evidence is being collected.
Rising Atrocities Against Dalits in Society
This is not an isolated incident in Uttar Pradesh. Previously, on October 12, a case of assault and threats against a Dalit woman was reported in Ajmer, Rajasthan. In a land dispute, dominant individuals brutally beat the woman and demolished a tin shed built on her plot using a JCB machine.
