Lucknow: In a significant success for the police in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow, four absconding accused involved in the severe explosives incident in Behata village, Gudamba police station area, on August 31, have been arrested. A reward of Rs 25,000 each had been announced for their capture. This blast claimed the lives of four people, and illegal storage of explosives in a house was confirmed.
Arrest of Four Absconding Accused
The police apprehended the four absconding accused during a raid near Maurya Bhatta. These accused have been identified as Shanu alias Shoaib, Mohammad Waris alias Sheru, Ali Akbar, and Mohammad Afzal. The police stated that their arrest had been challenging for a long time, but they were successfully apprehended based on information from an informant.
According to the police, the activities of the accused were being continuously monitored. Special teams laid a trap and waited for the accused to make a move. Prior to this, three accused in this case had already been sent to jail. With the arrest of these four, the investigation into the entire case has gained further momentum.
Explosion Claims Four Lives, Several Injured
A sudden, loud explosion in Behata village on August 31 shook the entire area. The house was reduced to rubble, and the windows and walls of surrounding houses also vibrated.
