In Bargadwa village, under the Chiluaatal police station area, an old feud has taken a destructive turn. Late Saturday evening, 27-year-old Rahul Chauhan was returning home when the accused, Deepu alias Sandeep Chauhan, along with two unknown associates, attacked him and stabbed him with a knife. In his injured state, Rahul was taken to BRD Medical College by his family, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
A 13-second video of the injured Rahul has gone viral on social media, in which he can be clearly heard saying, “Deepu hit me”—which the police consider a crucial piece of evidence.
The police have registered a case and have launched a search for Deepu and his two unknown accomplices. Senior officials have confirmed that the viral video is being used as evidence, and efforts are underway to apprehend the accused.
