After resigning from the BJP, YouTuber Manish Kashyap is joining the Jan Suraj Party. He will join Prashant Kishor on June 23 and contest the assembly elections from the Chanpatia seat.

Manish Kashyap's Resignation from BJP

Popular YouTuber and social activist Manish Kashyap has given his political journey a new direction after resigning from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He recently announced that he will join the Jan Suraj Party, led by Prashant Kishor.

He announced his resignation via a Facebook Live stream, stating that while in the party, he was unable to freely express his views or effectively raise the issues of the people.

Along with joining the Jan Suraj Party, Manish Kashyap has also announced that he will be the candidate from the Chanpatia seat in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. This seat is located in West Champaran district and is considered a politically significant area.

Reasons Behind Leaving BJP

In his Facebook Live address, Kashyap expressed his disappointment with the BJP, stating that his role within the party had become inactive. He said, "When I couldn't even ensure my own safety, how could I ensure the safety of the people?"

According to him, his purpose in joining the party was to serve the people, but that objective was not being fulfilled. Therefore, he decided to work independently.

Assault Incident at PMCH

Manish Kashyap recently came into the limelight after he was assaulted by some junior doctors at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH). Following this incident, he felt helpless and has been disgruntled with the BJP ever since.

Manish has long been raising social issues on YouTube and other digital platforms. He has openly spoken out on issues like unemployment, corruption, and administrative negligence. His videos are widely watched in Bihar and eastern India, and he has built a b following among young people.
