Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency of Kashi, the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr. Navin Chandra Ramgoolam, arrived in Ayodhya. He was welcomed at Maharishi Valmiki Airport by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi.
Ayodhya: Mauritius Prime Minister Dr. Navin Chandra Ramgoolam arrived in Ayodhya today with his family and cabinet and offered prayers and darshan at Ramlala. This visit is considered very important for strengthening diplomatic, cultural, and religious ties between India and Mauritius. Prime Minister Dr. Ramgoolam spent approximately 45 minutes at the Ram Temple and participated in the Aarti and puja-archana of Ramlala with his wife.
Welcome for the Prime Minister of Mauritius at the Airport
The Prime Minister of Mauritius was welcomed at Maharishi Valmiki Airport in a traditional style by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi. The Prime Minister Dr. Ramgoolam was honored with a red carpet and cultural programs at the airport. His family members, senior officials from the Mauritian Prime Minister's Office, and cabinet ministers were also present with him.
Special security arrangements were made on this occasion. All security agencies were on high alert from the airport to the Ram Temple to ensure the visit was completed safely and smoothly.
Darshan and Puja at Ram Temple
Dr. Ramgoolam, who arrived directly from the airport to the abode of Ramlala, performed Aarti and offered prayers and darshan with his wife. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present with him during this time. In the 45 minutes spent at the Ram Temple, the Prime Minister understood the significance of the temple and its religious traditions and interacted with local priests. His visit also highlighted the international religious and cultural importance of the temple.
Dr. Ramgoolam is the second foreign Prime Minister to visit Ayodhya and offer prayers and darshan at Ramlala. District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde had already released the schedule for his arrival. Relations between India and Mauritius have always been cordial. The cultural, religious, and economic ties between the two countries are deep. This visit by Dr. Ramgoolam is an effort to further strengthen this partnership.
