Police in Nalanda district of Bihar have launched a major crackdown on crime, issuing a new list of the district’s Top-10 criminals and initiating continuous raids for their arrest.
Top-10 List Issued
The district police administration released a revised Top-10 list that includes several notorious offenders. Criminals from the Kalyan Bigha and Sare areas are under particular surveillance. Raids are being conducted continuously to apprehend those named.
Criminal Charges and Surveillance
According to police officials, the individuals included in the list have been involved in murder, robbery, extortion, land disputes and other serious cases. Many of them have been absconding for a long period, and their activities had been under monitoring. In view of a recent increase in criminal incidents, police revised their strategy and prepared the new Top-10 list.
Focus on Kalyan Bigha and Sare Areas
Police are maintaining heightened vigilance in the Kalyan Bigha and Sare localities, where several serious incidents have previously been reported. The list was prepared based on complaints from local residents and intelligence inputs. Police teams are conducting raids at suspected hideouts and questioning suspects.
Special Teams and Inter-District Coordination
Police stated that special teams have been constituted to arrest the listed criminals. Technical surveillance has been activated along with local intelligence networks. Assistance from police in neighbouring districts will be sought if required.
Public Appeal and Confidentiality Assurance
The district administration stated that the criminals will not be spared under any circumstances. Members of the public have been urged to share any information related to the accused with the police. The identity of informants will be kept confidential.
Border Vigilance Intensified
Continuous raids have led to movement among the accused, with several reportedly changing locations. There are apprehensions that some may attempt to flee the district. Police have increased vigilance in bordering areas.
Ongoing Campaign Against Organised Crime
Nalanda Police stated that maintaining law and order in the district remains their priority and that the campaign against organised crime will continue. The issuance of the Top-10 list is intended to convey that no safe haven remains for criminals within the district.
