Students protesting the alleged NEET paper leak have continued their demonstration in the Bhanwarkuan area of Indore, with more than 5,000 students, parents, teachers and local residents participating in the agitation. The protesters are demanding transparency in the examination process and strict action against those responsible.
The protest, which began on 30 June in Bhanwarkuan, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has continued to expand. On Wednesday, more than 5,000 students, parents, coaching teachers and local residents gathered at Tantya Bhil Square. The demonstration continued despite rainfall, with students remaining under the flyover carrying banners and posters highlighting their demands.
During the protest, participants raised slogans including "Give us justice" and "Punish those responsible for the paper leak." Students taking part in the demonstration said strict action against those responsible is necessary to preserve fairness in competitive examinations.
The protesters' primary demand is strict legal action against those responsible for the NEET paper leak case. They have also demanded the resignation of the Union Education Minister. According to the protesters, the issue concerns not only a single examination but also students' trust in the education system.
Students have maintained a continuous presence at the protest site, with one group resting while another continues the demonstration. People from different parts of the city have continued to join the protest in support, while several teachers and parents have expressed solidarity with the students, stating that their demands are justified.
The protesters have announced plans to organise a "Yuva Nyay Yatra" to expand the movement. According to the protesters, the march aims to connect people across Indore and nearby areas while broadening the demand for transparency and accountability in the examination system.
Bhanwarkuan is regarded as a major education hub in Madhya Pradesh, where large numbers of students prepare for NEET, JEE, UPSC and other competitive examinations. The protesters said the movement has extended beyond a local issue and has become a subject of discussion among students across the state. They added that the protest will continue until concrete action is taken on their demands.
