Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken significant initiative for the overall development of North-East Delhi. In a review meeting held at the Delhi Secretariat, she appointed Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra as the प्रभारी मंत्री (in-charge minister) for the North-East parliamentary constituency.
New Delhi: CM Rekha Gupta held a meeting with MPs, MLAs, and councilors at the Secretariat to review development works in the North-East parliamentary constituency. In the meeting, Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra was appointed as the in-charge for this parliamentary constituency. He will regularly communicate with the public representatives, monitor the progress of development works, and ensure the resolution of the area's problems. Alongside this, the decision was made to define responsibilities sector-wise for problem-solving.
The CM reviewed proposals for development works costing one crore rupees in each ward and directed officials to act promptly on all proposals and files.
Development Works of One Crore Rupees in Each Ward
During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed in detail the proposals for development works to be carried out with an amount of one crore rupees in each ward. She instructed officials to act swiftly on the proposals, stating that any negligence at any level would not be tolerated. She also added that to avoid duplication of work, MPs, MLAs, and councilors should submit their respective proposals in writing. This will lead to a clear delineation of responsibilities and improve the quality of work.
The Chief Minister directed officials to complete the work in a time-bound manner so that the general public can benefit quickly. Special emphasis was placed on prioritizing issues related to sewer systems, water supply, and sanitation.
Special Focus on Education, Health, and Employment
The CM stated in the meeting that resolving the area's problems is only possible through collective effort. She instructed that each public representative should share their ward's proposals in writing and coordinate with other public representatives to maintain transparency and speed in development works. She also mentioned that responsibilities would be defined sector-wise for the implementation of schemes.
The Chief Minister, describing the North-East district as a priority for her government, said that significant work would be done in the fields of education, health, infrastructure, and employment. She assured that with the cooperation of public representatives, new projects would be initiated in the area, which would improve the quality of life for citizens. Special attention would also be given to job creation and skill development for the youth.
It was announced in the meeting that the inauguration of several completed projects, including the Nand Nagri Flyover, will take place soon. The Chief Minister informed that on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, projects worth crores of rupees, including those at Yamuna Park, will be inaugurated. Furthermore, health camps will be organized in Arogya Mandirs across all assembly constituencies from September 18 to October 2, to provide better health services to the residents of the area.
