Khawaja Asif Levels Serious Allegations Against India
During a conversation with a Pakistani news channel, Khawaja Asif discussed the possibility of Indian provocations on the border. He stated that it cannot be ruled out that India might play some dirty game on the border. He also added that his country is prepared for any eventuality and has a strategy ready to deal with a two-front war.
Pakistan Has Accused India Before
It is noteworthy that during the ongoing conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Khawaja Asif had previously leveled serious allegations against India. He accused India of instigating a proxy war and claimed that the violence in Afghanistan is occurring with India's support.
Earlier this week, during an interview with Geo News, he stated that he doubted the ceasefire would last long because Afghanistan's decisions are influenced by India's sponsorship. Khawaja Asif also alleged that Afghanistan is currently fighting a proxy war for Delhi.
India's Strong Response
On Thursday, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal clarified India's stance on the Pakistan-Afghanistan conflict. He stated that three points are clear in this matter. First, Pakistan harbors terrorist organizations and encourages terrorist activities. Second, Pakistan blames its neighbors for its internal failures. Third, Pakistan is displeased that Afghanistan is exercising sovereignty on its own soil.
Jaiswal stated that India is fully committed to Afghanistan's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence. He also added that India always seeks to maintain peaceful and cooperative relations with neighboring countries but will not tolerate any support for terrorism.
48-Hour Ceasefire
The conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan began on October 8. Both countries implemented a temporary 48-hour ceasefire, aiming to limit the violence. However, Pakistan is continuously attempting to strengthen its political and military position by involving India in this conflict.
Repeated accusations and controversial statements from Pakistan could escalate tensions on the border. India has made it clear that it is prepared to respond to any provocation and wishes to maintain cooperative relations with neighboring countries.
Pakistan's Preparation for a Two-Front War
Khawaja Asif clarified that his country is prepared for a two-front war. This means Pakistan is formulating a strategy to conduct warfare on two fronts simultaneously. He stated that this strategy has been discussed with the Prime Minister and high-ranking officials.
However, India completely rejected this claim, stating that Pakistan is promoting terrorist activities within its own country and making provocations on the border. India's policy is clear: any aggression will be met with a response, but efforts towards peace and cooperation will continue.
