Pappu Yadav Criticizes Nitish Kumar Government Over Law and Order, Floods, and Voter List Issues

Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, Member of Parliament from Purnia Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar, has bly attacked the Nitish Kumar government regarding the deteriorating law and order and the serious flood situation in the state.

Purnia: Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, Member of Parliament from Purnia, Bihar, has launched a scathing attack on the Nitish Kumar government in the state. He has raised serious questions about law and order, flood relief, and the transparency of the voter list, terming the government as a complete failure. He said that the people of Bihar have been left to the mercy of God, while the leaders are only engaged in their political future and marketing.

'The People of Bihar are at God's Mercy': Questions on Law and Order

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Pappu Yadav said that the flood situation in Patna and many other areas of Bihar remains serious, but there is no concrete relief or rescue work being done by the state government. Tauntingly, he said, when Patna was submerged, no leader came among the people. We went to raise our voice in Parliament, but the microphone was turned off. Is this democracy?

He also alleged that the state government is completely cut off from the problems of the people and now only the race for political positions and publicity remains.

Serious Allegations on Voter List, Questions on the Impartiality of the Election Commission

Pappu Yadav also raised questions on the recently conducted voter list SIR 2025 process. He said that 2.78 lakh voters' names were cut in Purnia, while 3.5 lakh names were removed from Patna. He further stated that within a month in the state:

  • 22 lakh people were recorded as deceased
  • 35 lakh people disappeared
  • And 7 lakh duplicate names surfaced

He questioned that if these figures are correct, then what has the Election Commission been doing for the last 16 years? Challenging, he said that if he has become an MP based on a fake voter list, then the Lok Sabha should be dissolved and elections should be held again.

Support for Rahul Gandhi's Statement

Pappu Yadav completely justified the recent statement of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on the transparency of the voter list. He said that the voter list is a public document, which every political party should have the right to view and examine. Rahul Gandhi has spoken about protecting democracy, and we are with him in this. Tampering with the voter list can shake the foundation of democracy.

Pappu Yadav also alleged electoral irregularities not only in Bihar but also in Delhi and Maharashtra. He said that the BJP and NDA have tried to come to power 'through the back door'. He also accused the central government of misusing democratic institutions and warned that if this attitude continues, Parliament will not be allowed to function.

On Prime Minister Narendra Modi releasing the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana to farmers, Pappu Yadav said that it is their right, not a favor. He said that farmers do not only need money, they should get fair prices for their hard work and crops.
