Amidst the ongoing speculations and discontent over seat sharing within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Congress leader Pawan Khera has issued a significant statement. Pawan Khera stated that the doors of opportunities are open in the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) for Chirag Paswan, Upendra Kushwaha, and Jitan Ram Manjhi. His statement has created a new stir in Bihar politics.
Chirag Paswan and the Possibility of Grand Alliance
Congress leader Pawan Khera stated on Thursday, October 9, 2025, that not just windows of opportunity, but doors and even skylights are open in the Grand Alliance for Chirag Paswan and other NDA leaders. He also mentioned that Congress and other constituent parties of the Grand Alliance are keeping a close watch on this matter.
Pawan Khera said, "We are not just keeping an eye; much more is happening. Everything that should happen in politics is happening. Not just windows of opportunity, but doors and even skylights are open for Chirag Paswan and other NDA leaders."
Has Chirag Paswan Received an Offer from the Grand Alliance?
When Pawan Khera was questioned whether the Grand Alliance had made any offer to Chirag Paswan, he replied, "Offers are not made public, but what is meant to happen, will happen." He also added that Chirag Paswan is currently not answering calls from BJP leaders and has kept his phone switched off.
Pawan Khera further added that the ongoing dispute over seat sharing within the NDA is part of a political strategy. He stated, "There is no dispute over seats in the Grand Alliance. The names of seats and candidates will be announced well in advance."
Congress's Reaction to Tejashwi Yadav's Announcement
On Thursday, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav announced a job for one member of every family. Responding to this, Pawan Khera said, "Last time, when the Grand Alliance was in government, they provided jobs to five lakh people. The Grand Alliance delivers on its promises. We don't just talk; our promises are our resolutions, which we also fulfill."
Pawan Khera also took a jibe at the BJP, stating that the BJP should not interfere in the internal matters of the Grand Alliance. He clarified that it is decided among the leaders of the Grand Alliance who says what, and this should not be influenced by external forces.
